Living Off Grid for Real ! How anothers life is changing ours !

Its amazing to me still that we are going to be moving lord willing back to TN very soon ! How this whole thing came together is just a story in itself. But here we go walking in the path the Lord is showing us to take. We have for years wanted to move back down south to rural TN, but never really saw a way to do that again until now. Once again a couple heading to the other side of the world to follow God's leading offered their home for rent and when we saw the ad on CraigsList it was a surprize and a shock to us. I figured well all I can do is call and see and I was greeted with a huge blessing. One that is more then I expected. I feel I have forged a real meaningful friendship with a Sister in the Lord, who is very loving , kind and has a servants heart to help another. If you were to google Siberian Times Agafya, you would find the article of my friend who longs to travel to the Siberian Mountain side to help a woman who has asked for help from beleivers and is living totally off grid. We think of off grid here in the US and we are always close to the grid. But Agafya lives on a Mountain side in the Siberian Mountains, where not many have traveled to, nor do many live there. She is 71 years old and her family fled persecution and came to that spot to live so many years ago and there she has been most of her life. Her family now gone, she lives there in her cabin with no electricity, no heat but that of her woodstove. The company of her cats. she grows her own food and milks her goats. The weather there is not as kind as here in the US but she has somehow made it on her own. Her plea is for help as she ages and can no longer do all the things she once did. My friend is Emilia Marcov. She and her husband Luchian long to travel to Agafya and help her in whatever way they can. With her Gardens, with her heating needs and with her animals. But also to encourage her in her great faith in the Lord God. The Bible says " Greater Love hath no man then to lay down his life for his friends ". How selfless and godly it is to travel around the globe and reach out to another in the Love of Christ and meet their needs. Agafyas story touched my heart deeply. The Love of my Sister in Christ touches my heart and what more can I do then pray and share this story with you all in hopes that together we can see to the needs of a woman who does what we aspire to do. I don't think we will ever attain what she has done for years on her own. If you wish to know more about Agafya and the mission the Marcovs are on, you can read about it here: Help with Funding:–3

~ Readers Block ~

Have you ever just not been able to get into a book, no matter what kind it was ?  Well I call this readers block, something like writers block , but far worse if you love reading and nothing can suck you into a story or get you interested in the teaching of a book.   I have felt this way for a few months and I am looking forward to a book I won recently by Murray Pura called The Face of Heaven.  I love historical fiction and I am so looking forward to reading this book and getting to know Murray as a friend.  Please look for my review ~ Coming Soon ~

Outside my window...Its getting dark and chilly...damp as the temps dip down in the 50's.

I am thinking... That is it wonderful to be moving back into our home in Red Creek, NY .

I am thankful... for God's Grace and Salvation poured out to me in Love !

In the kitchen... Well today it was in Mom's Kitchen, we had Goulash for lunch and Iced Tea or hot coffee.

I am wearing...My black pasley skirt with pink and mauve flowers and my black shirt

I am creating... or should I say recreating our home.... Its peaceful to think of being home again...

I am going... to spend tomorrow packing and cleaning up here at the river home and taking a load of our things to Red Creek.

I am wondering..If anyone but me knows how good I feel about going back to our home here in NY. I cannot wait to share it with you  here...

I am reading...My Bible today

I am hoping... Well my hopes and wishes came true... so I am now hoping it can be for a long time and that we won't have to move anytime soon again..

I am looking forward to...  Heaven one day !

I am learning...  wait upon the Lord and Delight in Him, he is giving me the desires of my heart and I am so thankful

Around the house...  I am putting my things up at the house in Red Creek and I think it is more homey then it was before when we lived there.

I am pondering... How the Lord is so wonderful and Sweet to me.

A favorite quote for today...  " In a family like ours we have to be functional, or we would go crazy !"  thanks Chris (Deanna Smiths oldest son)

One of my favorite things... Homemade Chicken Soup

Born 2 Impress Everything Home Event- Violight Personal/Travel UV Toothbrush Sanitizer Review and Giveaway

VIOlight Toothbrush Sanitizer Information Report Did You Know...? - A number of studies suggest that oral health is associated with general health. Advanced gum disease has been linked to heart disease, diabetes, premature delivery in pregnant women, and stroke. - Researchers have found more than 10,000,000 bacteria living on a single toothbrush. - Tooth decay is caused by bacteria that can survive on toothbrushes. - Viruses that cause colds, flu, and fever blisters can survive for many days on toothbrushes. - Droplets produced by flushing toilets can harbor bacteria and viruses that can remain airborne long enough to settle on surfaces.

Thus, a person could acquire an infection from an aerosol produced by a toilet. This is something that has always been in the back of my mind, but what can you do…You need the toothbrush anyways. VIOlight uses UV Light to kill germs and bacteria.

Ultraviolet (UV) light is electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength shorter than that of visible light, but longer than X-rays, in the range 10 nm to 400 nm, and energies from 3 eV to 124 eV. It is named because the spectrum consists of electromagnetic waves with frequencies higher than those that humans identify as the color violet. (Definition taken from Wikipidia).

It is really hard to believe that shining a light on a surface or item would kill germs. Actually the right kind of ultraviolet light is an extremely effective germicide, able to kill more than 99 percent of germs. VIOlight uses the UV technology to provide consumers with a stylish and modern design.

I have always been very interested in this kind of technology and actually own a few different products that utilize UV light. In this opportunity I want to introduce you to the Violight Personal/Travel UV Toothbrush Sanitizer.

The Violight Personal/Travel UV Toothbrush Sanitizer features a metallic finish, removable drip tray for easy cleaning, and brilliant UV light , to keep your toothbrush bacteria free while you are on the go or simply want a compact …very compact space saving tooth brush sanitizer.

The UV light gets rid of 99.99% of germs, including H1N1, E.Coli, Staph, and Salmonella. In addition, the Violight Personal/Travel UV Toothbrush Sanitizer unit comes with a free tooth bush, but in addition, it holds all manual toothbrushes and small electric toothbrush heads so you should be able to use it with your favorite toothbrush brand.

The unit features a really nice and attractive design that is battery operated and has an auto shut-off in under 7 minutes so you do not have to worry about keeping an eye on it. The unit as I mentioned, is thin and very portable and while 90% of the case has that metallic material, the part where the head of the tooth brush goes is actually clear plastic so you can see the tooth brush.

The Violight Personal/Travel UV Toothbrush Sanitizer, is really easy to carry around and a great tool for people that are often on the go or spend a lot of time outside the home and like to carry a toothbrush with them. To keep those pearly whites healthy and clean at all times.

The toothbrush sanitizer  is very easy to use, all you need to do is close the top to activate the UV light that as I mentioned will auto shut off (the unit requires 2 AA batteries that are not included with the unit). The Violight Personal/Travel UV Toothbrush Sanitizer has a retail price of 29.95.

I am wearing... Denium and Pink !

I am creating...  well recreating my blog , that I have neglected since facebook came to be...

I am wondering... If I will ever get the house totally clean and organized with three little ones !

I am reading... Sheparding Your Child's Heart... Ted Trip and other books that I am reviewing !

I am hoping...  We can find a home in the country again soon...not that this isn't country, but my heart would like a house instead of a small trailer.  I so miss a country farmhouse and wood heat....

I am looking forward to...  Heaven one day !

I am learning...  To be patient and loving even if I don't feel good about things at times.

Around the house...  I have tried to hang my homey things and make this more homey to me.

I am pondering...  How much I wish we could just move back to our old house...
